No it doesnt 'just peel off'. As soon as the film makes contact with the part it's stuck. The only way i found of removing it is with a metal pan scrubber and meths, and lots of scrubbing!

The fascia of the DX18 is in three pieces. One I got first time but the other two each took me two attempts.
