cases / bags for helis

Does anyone know of a place in the UK that sells some kind of purpose-made carry bag for heli's ?

I have seen one or two on Ebay but everytime I have googled it all I get is a shop in the USA and usually it shows as out of stock.

What I am looking for is a nylon bag specially made for helicopters. I'd like one for my Raptor 30 and (I know this is a longshot) one that would fit the Predator gasser. I know the 30/50 size ones do exists because I have seen them. I have contacted Midland helicopters about this and they had no idea.

It would seem to me like a popular product but apparently not. I guess most people just drive to their field but I have to take the train so this kind of thing would be very useful.

OK, I got the bag today. Yeah, this is exactly what I wanted.

I ordered the 60/90 size because I wanted to see if it would also fit the Predator.

The Predator fits in the bag but because the blades stick up so high above
the tail boom, the back part of the top flap of the bag cannot be zipped all the way, which is no big deal really. I suppose if you took the blades off it would fit fine but I don't really mind the blades sticking out.

The way the bag is designed the heli goes in from the top, there is a rigid bottom piece that it sits on and then the top comes around from the front and zips to the back. There is a strap that comes up over the top just about at the CG with a handle that snaps around so it is all logically designed.

It's a very sturdy nylon woven material so It should last a long time.

The Raptor 30 fits completely inside with room to spare (as one would expect since this is a 90 size bag). You could even put some accessories in there as well under the heli.

It should be a bit more balanced than the keyboard bag I have been using because the handle supports it closer to the CG. And it will collapse quite small for storage.

Anyway, it should work very well for what I need and if I was only planning to carry around the Raptor I'd get the 30/50 size and not have the extra length but I think I can use this one for any of my helis, so my keyboard bag can now go back to what it was intended for.

Would these fit a 450 class?

I only saw two sizes of this particular bag on there and they would be quite big for a 450. I have a guitar gig bag by 'Ritter' that fits my 450 very well. I would imagine there are lots of things that can be adapted for 450 size helis if you don't want to spring for the Align or Kopter hard cases.

What makes it more difficult for larger helis is that almost any case or bag made for something esle tends to be lacking in some dimension. There are cases that are long enough but too short, some that are long and tall enough but too narrow etc.

At one time I saw a trombone case that looked real close and I got the approx dimensions to fit the heli and asked the company if they had a case that size and they wrote back and said "unfortunately none of our cases will fit your trombone".
