I had a nasty mishap a few years ago. We got bored on a poor flying day at the gliding club, and decided to have a go parascending behind a Land Rover. It didn't work out well, and as I was lying on the ground glad I was still alive and asking for an ambulance, one of my mates said "give him a minute, he's only winded!"

Result: Broken pelvis (displaced), broken back, neck and heel, ruptured spleen, 4 weeks in intensive care plus another 3weeks on a ward. Rescuscitated three times

Only winded my a***e!

Glad I can laugh about it now, and anyway, I'm officially indestructable

Gary, hi mate, the wobble seems to be much better since I changed the F/shaft, I think my arm finished it off though, lol, no damage other than the F.S.

Phil cheers mate, hell I think you hold the record for most physical damage during one of your flights, Christ that could have killed you, but a broken back, hell that made my skin crawl. thankfully your in one piece and fine now.

Thanks BB, yes it wasn't like they were going even a full quarter speed, but man did it hurt, unfortunately the old back still had center stage first thing, that never takes second place, bloody thing.

Thanks Ron. as they say one creatures torment is another's delight, but there is a limit, and when it's down to stupidity (like me) I only have myself to blame.
