Kalt Cyclone II with what looks like a Morley Rate Gyro (you reverse it by turning it upside down ) and a Heloball muffler

You see this is what I love about the Internet and forums, you can go from completely clueless to clued up in the space of an hour, thanks guys.

So yes after a bit of digging it looks like a cyclone 2 released on 1989, midland heli still sell the tail drive belt as a part. Now is it worth getting air worthy again, will that engine be any good and should the gyro, servo's etc be replaced by modern day equivalents? Oh and the wooden blades I'm guessing are a health and safety risk lol.

with the old blades I'd keep them
              to stir paint
check the shafts are ok and not bent, good luck finding replacements if they are
update the gyro as they will be cheap as chips second hand as everyone has gone fly bar less , 401, spartan etc
              renew the servos and rx
and the important parts renew the switch and battery
then enjoy a piece of history

It looks like a metal head which I think was an upgrade option. The unique thing about the Kalts is that the swash does not go up and down. Instead there is a slot in the main shaft and a steel wire that rides in the slot and operates the collective.
