Stock, what stock??

I must admit, I was looking at FL website the other day and was amazed by all of the items that were showing as 'RED' on the stock levels!

I hope it is just a blip as I have always found FastLad to be really good on service and having stuff that you can't always find elsewhere!

I suppose we will see how they're doing by the size of the stand and stock level that they bring to Weston Helifest! Are they sponsoring any of it! I didn't see their logo on the Helifest website...?

Like I said, I hope it is just a blip as I (like many others) would rather support and buy from our local U.K. suppliers!

I wasn't looking to buy anything just browsing out of curiosity. No logo's, no t'rex's, no goblins, no motors, I've never seen that before unless a company is closing down or the container fell off the ship on the way here lol. But everything else indicated they weren't, just the stock side of things. Not stirring anything, what does that achieve?

Again an over exaggeration, No logos or trex's implies none at all when they do in fact have kits, granted not every single kit in each and every colour but the have kits.

If your not stirring you are over exaggerating the issue and while this doesn't achieve anything bless intended it can cause unfair damage to a company.

Just to balance things up, I was at FL yesterday to pick up a second hand heli airframe. I also bought a heli carry bag and some packs for the 570. Great I thought! Everything in!

However, silly enough, no supraX S6 connectors (arrrrgggghhhh)

Looking to get back into the hobby after a 6 year break ,
looking at align 500 and Mikardo v control , was going to pop over to FL today but might just wait a bit till stock improves

I like to buy local so hopefully it is just a glitch with FL

Stop waiting and go and support your local shop, I can't stress this enough! For allot us with local shops and not so local shops! Sitting in the house in front of your computer screens and tablets posting about stock and the end of the world is nigh! Go out and support the shops! Buy things from one and if they don't have it all buy it from another shop like we used to without bitching about it. As a customer we have got lazy and fat, we want it all in one pace and pay nothing for it and get free postage because we have been spoilt all these years! Let's stop bitching and get on with it.

Don't want to cause a bun fight or problem just simply stating that scaremonger by stating they have no stock when clearly they do does nothing to help a company, and can cause damage to them. Just saying.

P.s, I've been to the bakers already and got some yummy hot cross buns for my breakfast, So nar! nar! (Joke Intended)

Why should anyone go anywhere just to keep the shop happy? I'll buy my gear from whoever keeps me happy.
You seem to have an arse-about-face idea of how business works. It's up to the shop to keep the customer happy, not the other way around. If a shop doesn't have something in stock, then I'll go to somebody who does.

This isn't the 1980s, where you went into a shop and left a deposit, then waited a month for your gear to arrive. It's 2017, and unless shops have stock, or quick access to stock, then they're going to go down the pan... because this is 2017.

Model shops had a very good stretch during the boom years. It's up to them to diversify and stay afloat during the bad times. It's not my job to keep them in cars and holidays.

I'm not so sure there is such a thing as your local shop anymore , the vast majority of people now buy online & these shops are not local to most people
I keep saying this if shops don't have stock I can't buy it , it's a simple fact

I get what your saying, and i totally agree but i'd hate for our shops to disappear!! I get the whole sales makes stock and stock makes sales argument. I've had the same conversation with guys at the field about the stock levels at Midlands, Fastlads, Align-Trex, skyline and various others but in the next breath they will say how they saved 10p by ordering from spain or germany and it just angers me that they are moaning about UK stock availability but they are grey importing and not supporting the shops.

Does it have to be in green? It's in yellow so it's in stock, which is a good thing isn't it?
