  • Supra-X to EC5

    Hi all,

I have picked up a 700 which currently has some supra-x connectors on the ESC, but all my packs, my other heli and equipment using the packs have EC5. Now I'm reluctant to remove the current supra-x connectors as I may revert to them in the future, so I'm looking to add a short convertor to EC5 to let me fly in the mean time. I can't seem to find any on the market, is there such a thing or should I just solder some up myself. I know it's an extra unnecessary connection but I've done similar on my planks when required so I don't see it as an issue, just defeats the purpose of using the supra in the first place.

    Any thoughts?

    Cheers
    Chris

Just de solder the supra connectors and keep them for a later date. Fit an EC5 to the 700 in the meantime. Most supra are reusable I believe, I use S6 which certainly are, just remove clip, slide plastic out way and de solder the bullet off

Just another 'weak link' on a 700. As above I'd remove the Supra and fit an ec5

I'd swap everything else over to Supras now while you're thinking about it!

Thanks all, I'll just remove the supra for now and go EC5. I would swap all over but will see how I go with the EC5 for now, provided I get a good solder joint they should be more than man enough for my level of flying.

          Cheers

Just a quick update, I ended up swapping the supra's over to EC5, it just makes life easier for me at the minute as everything else I have is kitted out that way. Had 6 successful flights now and really enjoying flying the big 700.

            Thanks for all the help
