There is a possibility of a new field but the AHA are waiting confirmation, after a few concerns were raised at the AGM about the field used last year, this was posted on the AHA facebook page 5 days ago.Last edited by heliboys; 09-03-2017, 08:34 AM.Cheshire Hell-E-Cats best in Static May 2013

Yes, we are back at our old site at Trinity Hill following lengthy negotiations!
There may be some changes to the flight-line to minimise the noise problem which cost us the field last year. I think it would be prudent of those with noisy models to avoid long periods of "blade thrashing" if we are to keep this venue. Please fly responsibly! We want to keep this site!Pete

Not sure. Its been difficult to get to the bottom of it. I went up last week to have a look at yet another field, and was rather surprised to be told that we could probably have our old one back! I know that the farmer who lives opposite had a very difficult lambing season in spring last year, but I don't know if that was the source of the original complaint. I do know that he has sheep in the field a little way down the road towards the coast at present, so I have suggested that we put scale and sport down at the gate end, and put 3D up at the top. Hopefully this would move the noisier models far enough away from the animals not to disturb them. But that's up to the AHA - I'm not on the committee any longer, now I've retired!
In any event, in violent aerobatics, it seems to be the blades that are the main source of irritation. Control-line have a similar problem where the repetitive nature of the noise is more irritating that the actual level. Its like the drip of Chinese Water Torture! We should be fine as long as everyone shows a bit of restraint. I hope so, anyway......Pete
