Whilst it's true that Mark Carney had put measures in place to stabilise the pound incase of a brexit vote, there is no evidence to suggest that the pound would have fallen if the vote had gone the other way. However, it is a good assumption that had the vote been different, investor confidence would be higher resulting in a more stable (ie. favourable) exchange rate. So yes, the bank were ready either way, but that doesn't mean the cost of imported goods would still be the same.

Mark Carney didn't put any measures in to stabilize the £. The pound fell partly because of uncertainty and partly because of Quantitative Easing. The BoE created £billions from thin air and pumped it into to the FTSE 100. The govt decided that they preferred a falling £ to a falling stock market, which would have wiped £billions off the pension funds.

And if my efforts on the simulator last night are anything to go by, I'll be needing a few spares this year too!

Just put myself on the email notification list with fast-lad for a trex 500l tail hub. Seems to be stock of the complete assembly with blade grips, but I'm not forking out over 20 pounds when all I need is the hub, and I can get 2 hubs for a little over a fiver when they arrive in stock.

Hopefully I won't need to wait too long.

It may also be the manufacturers that are the restriction on availability. [?]
