Interesting idea. Watch the simulator and feel the sticks move. Supposed to make it easier to learn. Available starting February for 190 euros.

Interesting indeed. I guess it depends how well it deals with different sized models and setups etc. and how good the sim is (presuming you can't use it with any regular sim with the stick feedback).

It is getting closer to it's goal. Back it up if you want to get one at a lower price and with 100 skills.

There is quite a lot of ho-har about this at the moment, but I think it is a terrible idea.

You should work out the stick movements you need to do something, including how to get out of trouble when it is going wrong.

Learn to fly the thing properly, it is far more rewarding and is actually a skill as opposed to being able to copy a machine.

I think its a good idea in principle but I suspect it might suffer from lag, i.e sticks don't move until heli is well into the manoeuvre. Looking at the video of ti- tocs, that seems to be exactly what's happening. In reality a pilot will be moving the sticks before the heli changes direction. Servos take time to travel, blades have to stop the heli and then move it in the opposite direction. I guess if it's connected directly to teacher's transmitter then your sticks will move as he moves his, but if it's driven from a simulator recording then the simulator will need to make sure the commands are sent to the stick mover a little bit ahead of the video rendering.

I agree, you should learn how to fly the heli through an entire move not just learn stick inputs to make the heli perform a move.

"Young and growing sport"... How long have they been working on this?!
Its a cool idea but im not sure it would be the best way to learn! I imagine it would feel like playing an arcade game that fights the steering wheel, probably not the best way to learn how to drive

I don't really see this as much different to when rescue became available, people slated that as well..........yeah yeah I know, i've still crashed even with rescue on my helis! On the flip side it's saved me from a few crashes as well when I've been trying something new, does that make it a bad thing to have? Of course not as it may well have saved me a few £k in rebuilds.

Why is Stickmover any different? I don't see this as completely cheating as you've still got to go out and fly the manoeuvre after you've learnt it which is a whole different ball game. For example, i've been learning piro tick tocks, not on the sim but up at the field. Now there's just a part of that manoeuvre that I just can't work out as i'm just putting in the wrong input/getting the timing wrong at a small part of the move and i'm fu cked if I can nail it at the moment so Stick Mover just may be the tiny thing that helped me work out where I was going wrong? Is that cheating, I don't think so.
