  • First flight

Well, I picked up Paula from work and headed to the field in the rain. I was very p!$$ed off! The car was loaded but I didn't think I was going to fly. Sat in the car park of the field and the shower stopped.

I managed a tank on the Synergy and WOW Soooooo stable and massive punch from that big rotor disc.
It felt so relaxing to fly yet so capable.

The engine is running a little warm and there was a tiny fuel leak from the exhaust connection to the fuel tank so I'll sort that and then tweak the tuning. Other than that - all good.

I promised Paula that I would only hover it but that didn't last long
Inverted is nice and stable too and tick tocs were a lot more controlable that the Knight 3D as it feels less 'frantic' (the Knight always seems gagging to go faster and more agressively )

    Love it
    Cheers, Lee.

      Nice one Lee

I can't believe you've got it in the air so quickly - I guess it's not just me who's going green (with envy)!!

        Thanks Martin and Phil.

I bought it off a friend and I expected to have to get the canopy painted and buy a Spektrum rx before I flew it.
I had a bit of a result though. He had a poorly rex 450 which he wants me to check out so lent me his tx which was already set up for the Synergy.
He also lent me a painted canopy for the Synergy (one that he had practised spraying on) and I flew with that.
I also had a bit of luck with the rain stopping for me to fly a tank
        Cheers, Lee.

Well chuffed for you Lee. I can just imagine you runnign out to the flightline with your new toy

Much as I love the Knight 3Ds it would be great to own a 90 too and the Synergy is a stunning heli at the top of my wish list. Just got to work out how to pay for it

Initially, when I lifted it into the hover I was shaking really badly. I could only hover for a few seconds and then had to land to calm down. It's a lot bigger in the air than I kind of expected if that makes sense.

After a couple of hops like that I felt better and was able to fly about but was still shaking

Gonna see if I can go out this morning while it's nice
                Cheers, Lee.

Martin and Richie, there seems to be a lot of people selling their N9's for silly molney at the moment, people must be getting the jitters due to the imminent release of the 700n and the now released Aurorra. I know what ill be doing, and thats staying with what ive got. Its an amazing machine, and having had and owning align helis, they are certainly built down to a price, so i wont be going there any time soon.

Wow, inverted on first flight, that takes some skill. Nice work!

agree with Technec inverted on the first flight, mmm bigger ones than me mate.
The one thing I noticed when going from a 30 to a 50 was rate of fuel consumption how does it compare to the Knight with the 50?

Nice one Lee, the Synergy is certainly a heli at the top of my wish list too, although I have noticed it being talked down alot by the shops, which is obviously only so they can sell the new machines.

So its really nice to hear you saying how good a machine it is, as Ive personnally always thought, I wish you many many good flights with it.
                          All the best

Thanks but it is sooooo stable. Felt happier than inverted on the 3D!

If there's one downside then that's it. The govenor appears to have two settings and the engine either:
                            1. Drinks fuel like it's going out of fashion;
                            or
                            2. Drinks fuel like there's no tomorrow.

                            I still love it

(and keep the Magnum employees in a job )
                            Cheers, Lee.

The lack of Magnum in the country at the moment tells me they have all been sacked Lee..

BTW well done on the new heli. Glad you like it.
