  • EZNOV Neuron Flight Stabiliser

    Just seen this:-

EZNOV Neuron Flight Stabiliser / Flybarless Unit

and was wondering if anybody has any experience with it. I'm thinking of replacing my 3GX on my 450L.
I'm finding it difficult to dial it in and was considering another VX1e ( as fitted to 2 of my other helis) but the Neuron is considerably cheaper!

We have a guy in our club with one and I was lucky enough to be elected to test the rescue. In terms of flying it felt very natural and nice to fly, also nicely dialed in.
In terms of the rescue it's not great. it will rescue your model however it keeps control for 5 seconds and always climbs very quickly and pulls off to the left.
The PC software interface I thought was very poor on account you cant move around easily and the up and down bars are usually obscured or simply not there. it looks to me someone did it as maybe a GCSE project.
Worth a punt, however you get what you pay for and compared to say the V-baaa neo...well it doesn't! The Neo rescue is polished and predictable. The Neuron isn't.
My 10 cents as it were. If you want decent rescue for sensible money I would get a spirit, if rescue doesn't matter to you I would keep em peeled on the for sale section and buy a used spartan. Alex Hawtin was selling two recently for £45 each.

Thanks for that. I'm not interested in recovery and as I have limited time to fly (let alone mess about fine tuning FBL) I'll get another VX1e.

FWIW stick with the Spartan. I use them on all my helis and can't fault them. That said I have tried the Neuron and liked the way it flew but I wouldn't want to deal with the convoluted setup again. The one unit I tried is now in a fixed wing model where it works very well. You can't beat the Vortex with Datapod for ease of setup and tuning though.
