  • Is You wife happy with Heli Addiction?

Is your wife is supportive of your hobby....???
Mines not fussed and just leaves me to get on with it.

Check this poor doods jelous wife...From Rumpryder.

Well he goes!!!! We each got 450's last year and progressed up to the 600n together. we both have wives and kids and every weekend we would go flying at the LHS flying club field http://www.nehelicrew.com/ and be there just about all day. Well his wife was not supportive of our hobby at all and my wife said just to leave the big kids alone but his did not. She tried to make him choose the hobby or the family and one a hugh arguement started and he choose the hobby. So she took the ford expedition out for a drive came back took the heli out of the back of the truck put it in the driveway call him on the cell phone and told him to come outside and when he did she drove over and over and over the heli until she did not hear the crunching anymore. I have never seen so many police cars in front of our houses ever!!! he is now staying with us for a little while until things quite down. My wife said she is going to talk with his wife and she told him that i have another heli he can fly cause she knoews how much it meant to the both of us. She even said that we could get him another one and keep it at our house!!!!!

Fly hard, safe, and have fun doing it !!!

Get real. Before something like that happens there is a lot more wrong in the marriage than just the heli hobby getting in the way.
Just like flying helis isn't easy, marriage and families aren't easy either but both are fascinating to make progress with.

            Yeah I agree,

The heli gets a tail wag.

The wife gets a chin wag.

Your family have to come first including your wife lol otherwise it's curtains. Keeping the other half happy and giving time and patients will give reward and the necassary time to engage in your hobby with peace of mind.

I must be one of the luckiest chaps going, my misses just says "buy it" if I need something, or as I'm doing now, upgrading everything on my 450.

She'd love to get in this hobby but hasn't my drive for the hours of Sim practice you need to start flying CCPM heli's, but she enjoys watching me bomb it about.

I told her after I'd struck the deal with my new 401 Gyro and she said, "cool, nice one."

                          How lucky am I.

My wife is ok as long as i do something now and again with the family ...She does say I am obssessed with the hobby ... Mind you i only been at it 8 months and own 6 helis now and soon to add another ... Dunno what she means heheh .....Am off away with the wife and kids to centre parcs for the weekend so she should be good for a few months of me flying when i want ... Bonus is where i work i work 3x8 shifts so i get to fly in the week as well lol .... Thursdays she is out with the kids till bout half 7 so when i on mornings or nights i get all day in flying ... As for destroying my stuff ... She knows if she does i then take the money and buy new ones so she does not do it lol

Oh how gutting it must have been to watch her drive over your pride and joy like that.

My mrs is more than cool with hobby. She even let me go out and get a trex 600n last week cos she said it made me happy. Bless her cotton socks.
