New Logo 700 or trex 700x

Hi all, not flown for about a year or so, looking to get back into it in the new year. Slimming the fleet down as I have too many helis that I don't even fly.

After one all round 700 size electric. Just wondering what people would recommend?

Had keen interest in the new logo 700 and the align trex 700x. Just after some feed back and thoughts to what people think of the two?

I'm sure you can't go wrong with either. Based on no experience with either the Align 700X combo would be my choice. If you want a personal setup and more gearing options then opt for the Logo.

You cant really get anywhere close to the Trex for bang for buck unless you buy second hand. I got mine as the full 'Super Combo' for £1140 from RC-hero (including a few quid discount for a Halloween price match). I then sold the Microbeast that came with the combo for £70 as I already had a Vbar to go in it.
To build any other decent brand name heli to the same spec would cost not far away from twice the price. Personally, price aside, I still prefer the Trex but that's just a personal thing as plastic doesnt really get my juices flowing.

Well I would be looking at buying the airframe and blades only. I will be taking all the electronics out my logo 700xxtreme. Hoping it will all work. Might have to change the esc, as I have a kosmic in it.

Most people I know have kosmiks. I just couldn't justify it so am running a 120helijive with a cooler fan. I doubt I'll be able to shut it down but we will see

In that case the 'bang for buck' argument isn't so strong because the 'kit' price of the 700X is similar to the Logo. You do get a motor with the 700x but you probably dont need that by the sounds of it.

Yeah, I've no idea what Trex were thinking when they priced the kit version vs. the Super Combo. The kit is still decent value as you get a motor included, but it's nothing like as good a deal as the Super Combo.

For the price difference you could maybe get the Super Combo and keep the 700 Xxtreme... or sell the Xxtreme 'RTF'

You can't go wrong with either.... But for my two penny's worth..... The logo wins, every time... It has Somthing that align will struggle with........ Pedigree!
I am also surprised how versatile the logo is.... I have watched it smack so hard it's untrue, but, my style is still catered for.
It's classy, smooth and the perfect weight, but it's your choice, pick either, you won't be disappointed

I got a Kosmik 160 thinking I'd need it and justifying it by being able to share it between a few helis. But the reality has been that the actual amp demands are much lower than I thought and a 120 would be fine for all the 700's I currently own. The Kosmik has a more powerful Bec and the logging is very convenient, you can vary the length of the cables, but the downside is that it's a massive bulky thing.

i think it was a fair statement Dave. The logos just have something that alloy and carbon don't. I can't put my finger on it they just do it with more panache

Not saying it wasn't fair Don, I wouldn't know never flown a logo. Just an odd thing to attribute to a heli that's just been launched. If Rachel means that because Mikado have been around for 25 years and they were instrumental in the development of electric helis then I suppose fair enough, just a strange term
