  • What do you pros do to give constant performance day in, day out?

    Hey guys,

Getting into the 3D scene pretty good now, inverted hovering, flips etc with my 450.

Getting a good feel for it, some days I fly really good with no problems, days like today I fly very shaky and just about flying okay.

Sometimes I even fly great but am still to shaky.

Then other times I fly real bad but no shaking.

See where I'm getting at, inconsistent!

I know flying at a public field isn't no good.

If I fly very early in the morning (6am) I fly great every time I do this...

I do get distracted easy in the public field but is this the case? Do you guys eat the same breakfast every morning etc (lol)? Sometimes I just don't feel like eating some mornings, but I've never related it to performing bad, sometimes better....

Just would like to see if some people do anything special or not .

    Thanks.

Phsychological training is an interesting subject.
It is possible to control your mood to a great degree with some simple techniques.
What I do is dring 100 cups of coffee at work, then down a red bull and stop off on the way home to pound the 450 into the deck due to shakes.

Not sure who you mean by pros There are very few pro heli flyers in the world!

However, and this is going to sound boring, but lots of practice will build up your concentration levels.

Your diet will definitely help if you are into the diet area of performance:
      http://www.webmd.com/diet/features/f...-concentration

Personally I have not experimented with the diet thing but eating the right foods will improve your concentration for definate.

The other thing to consider is sleep - my job means I work late - but I always try to get at least 7hours as flying with less sleep the next day is not good at all.

So Lots of practice, good food and sleep

I think it's human nature. We all make mistakes, just do a search for Alan Szabo on Youtube, even he crashes and he's one of the top guys.
