  • 450 (325) blades?

I'm on my last set of 450 blades, which are a set of align blind night blades (duff lipos). They have more pop than the radix did but really load of the head - I should back off the collective pitch a bit I think.

What are the captiancrash 450 blades like? I had some GLX from rcmods a long while back and they didn't seem that good, but the captain's GLX blades on funfeex's miniT looked totally different (wish I'd tried them on my 450).
Given that they are about half the price of a set of radix I wondered if they are up to "hard" 3D?
I guess radix are the sensible buy...

Vblades are excellent for the 450, but they will bog the head if you are running lipos under 25c, i am using the electrolite 30c new battery at the moment and planning to buy a couple more as they are superb when using the vblades.

captain crash 450 blades are very V' like only a little softer. I put them on at clubman as someone else droppped it into the ground for me . theve got a real nice punch to them. yet the cyclics dont suffer

I run Vs with the revolution 18C packs and they are great, but agree you need to be careful with the cyclics.

The captain crash ones may be a really good compromise as they won't be as rigid.

I'm sure the V's are excellent, but a bit pricey. I'm basically wondering if anything cheaper than radix are worth buying

My 18c revolectrics will cope fine then. C numbers, are't they great fun
what my 450 does wih these align "night" blades is quite funny. The head only slows a little, bogging isn't the right word really, but the tail just can't cope with the massive torque increase when I overdo the collective with a lot of G force already there. I think they increased the baldes thickess at the tip to get the leds in and the drag is too much at high pitch angles.
I'm very happy with the torque available out of my medusa 28-40-2500 and if I could get a bigger pinion the head speed I'm sure could be mental (about 3100 on 100% flat line now).
I just bought two new revolectrix red label 2100 3 cell packs and they give exactly the same head speed as the one I have thats a year old. Still breaking them in.

Thanks edders, I'll try the captain crash blades out.

              ...

I can send them to you if you like, but after the last row the heli had with the ground there is only half of each left so I am not sure they would give you a true indication of what they are capable of!!
