  • Starter Quad

Im thinking of getting a small quad to fly indoors (living room etc) and maybe start to get my 6 year old interested. What would be your suggestions for a good reliable indoor quad that has good spares availability etc and is easy to get to grips with (maybe multi fly modes - beginner/advanced etc)

    Many thanks

    Nick

I've got a Hubsan X4, does what it should, pretty stable and robust.
Not much use outside though, unless it's very very calm without a breath of wind.

For a 6 year old, I don't think you can go wrong with a Blade Inductrix:-

Inductrix: Blade - #1 By Design

I have the slightly more "grown up" Nano QX, which is great too indoors, but I think the fully shrouded blades are a better idea for a 6 year old. The more open blades on the Nano QX don't cause any damage, but they are quite easy to break in small hands!

Blade 180 CFX - field beater for new moves
Blade Red Bull BO-105 CB 130 X - scale fun flying at the field when the tail isn't broken, which is not often.
        Blade mCPX - sold

Blade Nano QX - house fly of choice
Blade mCX2 - retired but will be back when the kids get a bit bigger

Another vote for the blade inductrix. Bendy frame, enclosed props, very very easy to fly too.
