Reading this with a lot of 'academic interest', as I'm a G500 fan, with no Logo experience.

My impression is that you can pretty much configure a Goblin how you like, and mine certainly don't seem particularly angry or quick. I'm sure they could be, but mine aren't configured like that. [eg 2B, 2450 RPM, 500mm blades, 5Ah pack, 6 minutes]

Looking at the specs, I suspect the Goblins are a bit heavier than a 480XX - but the Goblin is a bit bigger. Also, quite a lot of the Goblin 500 parts are in common with the Goblin 570 (eg head, most of the power-train).

my goblin is smooth and floaty! or mental if you crank the headspeed! logo is lighter though, so for a given headspeed i guess it would be floatier. i dont like em myself! (for no reason in particular)

Logo feels a lot lighter than the Goblin, both fly excellent but the Goblin in my opinion feels like a bigger heli. I've had both and would go for the Goblin if I were to have the choice again.

Based on another posting, the OP [Bob] already has a Goblin 500 - so maybe that puts a different perspective on things. [?]

yes I have got a 500 and I like it, just dissapointed with the flight times i.e. just over 3 minutes and it's killing some of my older 3500/3300 batteries, I also have a Logo 400SE and wondered if the Logo 480 was nicer to fly than the 400, I get 5 minutes on the same batteries in the 400 SE

I'm running 2450 RPM (2 blade), and comfortably getting 6 minutes from Turnigy 5Ah 20-30C packs [ie £33; £22 when they have an offer].

I used to run 3300mAh packs in a T-Rex 500; and those suffered far more in that, than the larger packs are in the Goblin. The Goblin packs have now done quite a lot of cycles. Some are maybe puffed enough to be tight between the frames, but these might have been clobbered in a 3 blade Goblin.

I can post configurations, if that will help; but it's basically Quantum 4120-1200; Talon 90 set RPM; stock gearing & blades.
