  • Head grease options...

I need to lube up some thrust bearings in a head on my Forza 700.

I have run out of the nice thick silicone grease, and only have silicone spray left which is useless for packing the bearings appropriately.

What are my options on a Friday in terms of other greases I could sensibly use?...

Any decent grease should work fine. Silicone spray is a non-starter though. Best bet would probably be Halfords or your local bike shop.

Halfrauds "cycle grease with Teflon" It's not just a stop gap, it's bloody good stuff. I use it all the time. It's bright red.
