  • How to remove screw from frame?

I had a weird crash on my 450L.... power just cut out towards the end of my slow figure of 8 flight (first flight on the heli and first flight for me since last summer!)
Anyway - blades and boom are good.
Main shaft is bent but I can't get it out because of the bent so I need to release the top plate (with the bearing) to be able to remove the mainshaft.

Anyway - stupid screw is very stuck! Full of loctite I think and I stripped the head! So I tried to dremel a cut for my screwdriver but it wasn't enough.. so I decided to cut a fresh one across... but the screw is quite soft and now it's stuck with noway for me to unscrew it...

Is there still a way or will I need to buy a new frame and top bearing plate?
I'll take a photo when I get home.

Either heat it with a soldering iron as hot as you can without stuff melting or burning, or grind a slot across the bolt and use a flat heat screwdriver...

Maybe try to drill or dremel the entire head off the screw, and then loosen some more frame screws on the same side to allow you to pry the frame apart enough to slide out the remaining bit of the screw...

          Thanks all.
Managed to do it last night. Used a 100w solder iron and heated it up then forced it with a screw driver.
I used a dremel to cut a slot the first time but it was really stuck, so I cut another slot across but it still wouldn't budge and that's when I posted here.
Used a soldering iron last night and managed to just about turn the screw with a driver... but I had to keep applying heat in between.
          Stupid screws!
          Stupid loctite!
And why do most people bath their screws with loctite to begin with anyway!!!

Most screws on a 450 only need loctite on about the first one millimetre of thread. I don't put more than that on and have never had one come loose.

If i find a screw that is realy tight i don't force it , I get the soldering iron on it first & it usualy shifts , I find I get 1 good shot at it & after that it's hard work
