A weird situation at the field

When I was out at Davidstowe they were complaining about the same issue happening at 4PM every day. Two pilots happened to be flying at that time while I was there; one had a problem the other did not. There's a radio mast nearby, but still, weird stuff...

Futaba FAAST and (I think) JR DMSS may be immune because they use a wider spectrum than most. But I think the main reason one hear's the most about Spektrum is because they are the most popular.

I was the lucky one I guess who just managed to save my heli. I believe what has been said is definitely getting close to the problem as for me the 3 helis that had the problems were all in the exact same spot on the field and thinking about it, the interference looks like it struck at the same height, Gary was unfortunately in a nose down dive and had no chance to recover. I was travelling inverted forwards when my heli made its dive for the ground so more than likely I just had that split second more to regain control than Gary.

I've been flying Spektrum for years and never had any bother. I had flights before and after the near fatal flight with no issue on the same day and since and I still have confidence in my equipment. However I think Gary has zero confidence in Spektrum now. He does everything to make sure his helis won't fail, had a rescue set up on the heli and an optigaurd but of course if you have no signal, none of that will help.

IIRC he had a radio link again when the heli was unfortunately on the ground which leads me to think there was definitely something in a certain line and a certain height which caused the interference.
From my recollection everyone was DSMX.

Anyone using Spektrum telemetry? For £35 this will be worth putting in a heli and any loss of signal etc will be shown. You need none of the extra attchements to minitor anything signal side with the TM1000.

You could use a laptop witha WiFi sniffer software to minitor signals
