Hi Chris , as it has a microbeast fitted im assuming it also has spektrum satellite's fitted & that's why yor asking which Spektrum Rx to use
with the microbeast you only need 6 channels so you could use a dx6 , the new black dx6 has 2 idle ups with voice which is cool
but any spektrum 6 Chanel and above will do

I'm assuming that Chris already has a Spektrum Tx, which is why he's asking what receiver to use. The Align kit doesnt come with any receiver, satellite or otherwise, just the basic Microbeast FBL controller.

He could use a couple of satellites, one connected to the native sat port, the other would need a satellite extension cable. But possibly the better option would be a single line Rx as suggested by Petesky. I think Lemon and Orange do 'Spektrum compatible' versions.

Dual sats on the Microbeast FBL is a big no no. It only supports a single sat connection and a Y cable is most definitely not recommended by BeastX. The extension cable Spektrum do sell is only to attach a single sat to the Microbeast for use on small models (450 max). There is actually no native sat port on the Microbeast. It plugs into a standard servo type 3 pin connector via the Spektrum extension cable to mate with the sat connector. But this is not what you want for a 550. You need the AR7700 Rx I mentioned earlier and that comes with an additional sat too for full diversity.

I stand corrected, i had it in my head that they had a single sat port and could accept another via adapter cable.. Obviously I'm wrong.

The lemon PPM receiver with integrated telemetry and RSSI might be worth considering (no genuine Spektrum receiver has these features): http://www.lemon-rx.com/shop/index.p...product_id=140

I've had good luck with Lemon receivers, I use then on several planes and helis and they have been bullet proof.

A lot of people presume the Spektrum sat adapter cable is for use with a second sat, but it's only an adapter for the sat plug to fit into the FBL 3 pin servo socket. I only know this because I have my OXY 3 set up like this. It works fine, but it's only a single sat solution and not robust enough for larger helis. There is basically no dual sat setup for the Microbeast.

But the new AR7700 solution should be very robust and isn't very expensive. It's only £50 and that includes the additional sat too.
