Lol. I used to say that to my kids. In this particular case I just muttered 'You Tw@t' to my self at which point he wandered off and found someone else to talk to. I don't even know who he was.

Done that too many times to count. Usually the cause is being sloppy when you connect the balance plug, entering it into the socket 'wonky' and touching the wrong pins. Unless the batteries were at very different states of charge simply connecting the balance leads first wouldn't do it.
One of my boards has more solder bridges than it does copper trace It is an easy repair, just take some strands of copper wire and solder over the gap.. job done.
All done. Jobs a goodun. Just ordered some 6s balance extension leads. Might make it easier in the future. It does get a bit crowded around those boards.

It maybe a good idea to put a quick blow fuse in that track to prevent a burn out again, or if someone is into electronics some form of ressetable relay. Just a thought.

Yup. Been there done that to a perfectly good parallel charging board. Now I only fused ones.

There are 14 traces coming from the balance connector pins... Not much point fusing only one of them, even if it was possible to do it.

If it's something that worries you polyfused boards are available. Personally after making the same mistake several times I'm just more careful now and fingers crossed it now been a good while since I burned a trace.
