My timer is set to 3.5 min with the stock eflite batteries. May be able to squeeze a bit more flight time out of them but possible not much more.

Gotcha. I was expecting a little more but I set my timer to 5 mins as it seems 6 mins was all I could get. I suppose I ought to drop it to 4 mins. Not very much is it. It is the only downside especially as charging takes such a long time.

I used to think like that but I got my IDEAFLY IFLY4 a few years ago and started to enjoy the more relaxed flying that it offered. I want to get some blade guards for it.

You dislike them because they don't have flybars.

Around 4 mins for me with 160 or 180 mAh packs. I find these little packs soon die though, maybe get 50 cycles before they start going off and triggering LVC early.

I find mine twitches, just once - is that a sign of the battery being low?

Also, how do I switch to acrobatic. I have a DX7S and I set it up in "plane" mode. I tried following the book of words but I am hopeless.

On my DX8 you switch it by pressing the bind button, I think the DX7S is the same. You need to set it up as shown in the user manual i.e. in "switch select" menu set "flap" to "INH" and set "Trainer" to Aux1. The LED changes from blue to red when it's in agility mode. It's a lot harder to fly in agility mode at first, but amazing once you get the hang of it. Also makes a great CP heli trainer in agility mode.

Not sure why you are getting a twitch. When the battery hits LVC it just drops out of the sky instantly.

Yes I have had that happen twice.
The twitch comes at about 2 minutes and is apparent every flight.
The book of words said something about switch select but I must have missed the bind button part. Thanks for that I'll give it a go later.
I always find smaller flying machines harder........I've already whacked this one twice. lol
I have a V911 which is much easier to fly but I think that is down to me as the two craft (V911 and Nano) fly much the same; stable and controlled.
