    Does anyone use polarised/polarized over glasses over their prescription glasses & sunglasses? I've just progressed (maybe that should be regressed) from reading to varifocals for wearing all day, everyday (deep sigh), so can't use my Rapid Ace polarised glasses for flying anymore, which is a shame as I like both the polarised cat 3 tinted and clear/yellow lenses (for when the light starts to fade).

    If it's not fun, why do it?

    Why don't you just get a high quality pair of sunglasses with RX inserts? This is a good website to browse. I wouldn't get hung up about polarised lenses either, although it's usually an option. Any top quality lens will provide all the glare protection you need, polarised or not. I come from a skiing background where glare protection is critical and I don't find any need for polarised lenses. They seem more popular among people doing water sports and fishing, with the sun reflecting off water. I don't see any need when flying over a typical field, you just need a quality lens with decent contrast and cat 1,2,3 protection as required for the light conditions.

            These were the ones that I was thinking of getting, so that I can use them with my prescription specs and prescription sunglasses;

              Seems like a bodged heavy solution to me. But I guess if Rx inserts within a specific pair of sports specs are not an option, then you have little choice.
