You might find that lowering the cyclic gain causes problems when you start flying it around i.e. not holding its attitude well during harder moves or in wind etc. The factory head gain settings have always been fine for me and the head actually feels quite nice to me. The tail is not quite as good, for example piro stops are not the sharpest, but it hangs in there pretty when it's being thrown around and loaded up. Only weakness I've noticed recently is poor tail hold in backward loops, so I might play with the gyro settings some more - I think my gain might be a little too low.

    I'm not changing gain though, I'm changing Cyclic Response ( Setting 4 ) http://www.bladehelis.com/ProdInfo/F...ttings_QRG.pdf

Pete, thanks for the link to the advanced setup instructions. I didn’t even know you could adjust that stuff to be honest. All I did with mine is use the part of the setup that allows you to level the arms.

Ah I see now! Yes, that's fine sorry I misunderstood. It looks very similar to the BeastX cyclic response setting. I just happen to get on with the standard setting so I never adjust it in the FBL. I guess it probably has much the same effect as reducing rates in the Tx?

All I did in the advanced menu was to properly centre my cyclic servos and then adjust the links. They were all slightly out from 90, but it's spot on now.

You can just play with the DR in the TX, but the way I see it that reduces the resolution the FBL unit is receiving, where in the FBL the cyclic response still has a high resolution but it still tames the response.

Time will tell once I've received the new gears, although I've had trouble finding o-rings for the servo saver mod.
