    Andy, that's just airframe bits - things like main frames, yoke, all the head shafts, clutch and bell, skids, tail drive and bearing holders, flybar, seesaw, fuel tank etc etc...

    After adding it all up on Midland's site it comes to over £140 quid! All the electrics are ok (I think) the engine and pipe are fine too so a transplant would be relatively easy...

      I had just the same thing with my Sceadu last year.

      The bill came to £180 to fix it or £195ish for a new kit.

      I chose to fix it because the £180 included a new receiver (£40) and a reasonable set of blades (£40), neither of which are included in the kit (I know the Hirobo glass ones are included in the kit, but the ones I got in the rebuild price were better quality than the standard kit ones).

      To do £100s worth of damage to standard kit parts only, ie not including the main blades, electrics, engine, pipe etc is quite a hard impact - mine was anyway.

      The answer really comes down to disposable income - if you can afford a new kit, either a Sceadu or something else, then go for it. If funds are tight, then fix it.

        I have a Sceadu myself so I would just go and buy another kit because your price for parts is too much. Remember you also get a set of blades that although are not stunning will at least get you flying. Bite the bullet and go to Inwoods. As I put before if you are only looking at helicopter bits then this is an oppotunity to look at another model like the Knight as the kit is even less money, but you will then need to get main blades.
