PL8 parallel charging without banana plugs

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to parallel charge 2 cell Lipo's that are used for the blade 130x. I'm using an MPA board with a PL8 and JST to XH battery balance converter leads. Is it possible to charge these without using the banana plugs?

I keep getting the message "no pack found."

When it asks if I am using banana plugs I select no. Can anybody help please ?

I don't know if there is a way to do that with the PL8. Typically if you're parallel charging these small packs you need a dedicated parallel adaptor for them which provides the balance and main power leads a typical charger needs:

JST PH – Micro Parallel Board (2s) « ElectriFlyer

Parallel (x6) JST-PH (130X/mCPX BL) Charge Lead « ElectriFlyer

I'm sure you can charge that battery through the ballance lead with a PL8 , although I have never done it
Go online and check the manual & im sure you'll find in there somewhere

I've had quick look but couldn't see anything. I'll have another look later.

Had another thought Dave, are you selecting it as 2p,3p etc on the pl8. If you select parallel charge mode you MUST use charge leads. It wont let you charge through balance leads in parallel mode.

Yes I am Joe, so I take it the only way to parallel charge them is to buy a special lead.

When it asks about parallel charging just leave it off, set the correct current manually and let it charge.

oh ok I'll try it, so if I want to charge 2 lipos at say 1amp each I set it to charge at 2 amps but select no parallel charging?
