Let's put the legendary Horizon Hobby customer services to the test. My trusty DX8 took a tumble off the table and I bust two 3 way switches and the rudder trim switch. Also asked them to check the scroll wheel and generally give it a once over
the tx is 3 yrs old and obviously out of warranty so let's see how it goes 👍

Returned by next Friday, repaired and might charge you for the switches

About a weeks turn around time !!! very good customer service full health check and might even not charge for new switches.

Just to make this clear I am not expecting a free of charge repair, the transmitter is well used, out of guarantee and the damage is self inflicted. The trim switch is soldered to the board too. The lady on the phone at HH could not have been more friendly and helpful so it's a good start

With a bit of luck, you might even get it back for the weekend. I posted a DX7 off on a Saturday and it was back with a neighbor Wednesday.

Emphasise the 'might' and thats pretty much what I would expect. They are pretty damn good at HH, thats the main reason I fly spektrum!
If carlsberg did customer service.... Lol

I sent my dx8 to hh a few years ago after it fell and a switch broke. In my letter, I asked if it can be fixed and I'm happy to pay any cost. Came back a week later fixed and for free. Hats off to them

I think all repairs go to Germany now so will be interesting to see if previous standards of service are maintained.

Mine didn't last week unless they used an F-16 and got it back to Harlow as it was returned with their postmark and an English technician claimed to repair it
