  • V Control cyclic ring?

    Hi all,
I'm new to the V Control, I'm setting up a Neo for a friend, I've done the model wizard setup thing but there seems to be some binding of the swash and I was looking for the cyclic ring function in the V Control menus but don't see one anywhere? The Neo is on Pro Rescue and both TX and Neo are on the latest FW. Surely this can be done on the TX?

    Cheers

It's in the Mainrotor menu in Swash expert I think but I've not got it in front of me.

      Edit : Go Brian.

            Alrighty Mr Hazza!!

It's not mine dude it's Pauls, he's decided to have a look and see what all the fuss is about with the V Control.
It looks like a very nice system but I don't think it's for me, I suspect after much research my next TX purchase will be the Jeti DS-16!

A miserable Christmas away makes you try things you normally wouldn't Harry! One Heli to begin with as I'm genuinely curious. It's going to have to be something special to pry me away from my spirits but I'm prepared to give it a shot!
mr dog7 was more than happy to help me out so weather (and wife!) dependent I'll hopefully be able to try it out later this week!

Which of your models have VBar? Just the one?

I love the idea of the VControl, but IMO I'd hate to have a radio tied to one FBL system. Granted, I only have one model that isn't a Vbar, but I still prefer the traditional Rx/Tx. If the Jr had the vbar app etc on it (it is Android based afterall) it would be amazing. I'm still a Futaba Fanboy, not going to deny it

The Jeti has the Spirit app on it! I've owned a fleet of Vbars and they are excellent but I prefer the Spirit, I also fly planks and multis and for that the Jeti is almost in a class of one.......

Everything I've owned by Mikado has been IMHO excellent, I'm in no way bashing them (other than being comparably much more expensive) I just feel the Jeti might suit me better.
I'll have a chance to fly with the V Control (If Mr Scotvar lets me! ) so I'll see what I think. First impressions coming from a DX18 is that the spring tension is too soft, even adjusted right up but other than that it feels great in the hand.

                      Cheers

Mate... Feel free to have a go! I'll be as rusty as an old sheriff's badge when I get back and it'll take me a good few flights to start getting the feel again so your comments are more than just welcome!
hazza... Yep... Just the one Heli to begin with. I used to like vbar but when the spirit came along the flight characteristics were every bit as good plus the rescue made it a no brainer for me.
I love the idea of the "tinkerability" that the vbar control gives and as I'm still keeping my current tx I'm not just tied to one fbl system. You'll no doubt see me at the field many times this year and by the end of the year I'll be able to give my honest opinion. Really looking forward to trying this system but I know just how much I like what I'm already using. You know me, my comparison will be very fair but I'll not be making any judgments in a hurry.
