Just like to say I am very impressed with their customer service.I have had quite a few batteries from them over the years and the odd one has packed up within a year .I just got two 6s 5000 40c ones Delivered in a day and a half wow.and one of them had a cell that wouldn't balance .Within minutes of a live chat they are sending me a replacement .Their returns are much improved from the days you had to send items back at your own cost.

I had a similar experience a while back. An ESC was playing up, I took a video of it and they gave me a full refund without the need to send it back. Not many dealers would do the same, even the top dollar ones.

I had a bit of luck with lipos too with them, bought a few 2200 3s but never used them, kept in a cupboard for a couple of months, went to charge one and it started fizzing and one corner burst and nearly fought light. They only offer a 30 warranty and wouldn't do any thing, until I sent some pictures and said I was seeking legal advise. They then sent me a replacement as "a guesture of good will" ;-) mmmmm I excepted and got it a few days later. Wish they would just sort out the postage costs in UK

They've sped up their shipping too. It used to hang around in the warehouse for days waiting to be shipped. Last 4 orders have always been shipped next day from ordering. You used to have to wait for a week.

My last order was for 10x 5000mah 6s 30-40c lipos costing a whopping £276 including postage. They arrived in 3 days which I thought was very good. Incidentally the batteries have proved to be very good. They are vastly improved over the older ones.

I order all my gear from Fastlads, Midlands, Align-Trex and have never had the need to return anything..... does the above not suggest there could be a quality issue with the products sold by HK? Just a thought.....

I have had to send something back to Fastlads and it wasn't handled particularly well in my case, everybody's experience will be different.

No it doesn't, I've got 75 orders with HK which cover hundreds of items and very few problems.
It's true that if you buy the very cheapest stuff from Hobbyking (or anywhere else) you cant expect the best quality or reliability (how good do you expect a £2.00 servo is going to be?) if you buy the better stuff it's generally fine.

Agreed, As you say everyone's experience will be different however, there must be something in it with what appears to be the high number of returns to HK or am I being unfair? and before anybody goes South with this I'm not having a dig at HK and I'm sure they have many happy customer pleased with their service/products.....

Yeah, it depends what you buy from Hobbyking. If you buy their cheapest of cheap 'junk' (i used a £2 servo as an example) then yes, you have to expect poorer quality and less reliability than a £30 servo from Fastlad. On the other hand if you do your homework with Hobbyking you can get something as good as top dollar hardware for a fraction of the price. You do need to use good sense when shopping with HK but the savings make it worthwhile.

LOL! you know what... I rather not, to risk a 1-1.5K heli on doing it on the cheap just doesn't seem to be a good idea, sh.. I really sound like an ass saying that I do like a bargain...........LOL
