Hi guys, can I use XT60s on 6S? The esc is 70A so not too high current. It may be a stupid question so sorry in advance!

XT60 is not ideal for a 550 Jake i would go with EC5's or rcproplus connectors. decent soldering skills required also along with good quality solder.Comment

As the name suggests, they are good for 60A, a fair bit more in bursts. Voltage is pretty much irrelevant, you could safely use them on 12s providing current was within rating. I have some 6S 3300mAh Zippy Compact lipos from Hobbyking. They came fitted with XT60 connectors and have not given any cause for concern.
I have also used 5.5mm bullet connectors with great success. One of my planks has over 300 flights on it and there still OKAlign Trex 550L Dominator X2

Got no probs using XT60 on my 550's ( got three of them ) on various lipos from Turnigy blues 30c up to Scorpion packs- some packs are now up to 2yrs use and have been totally reliable in use.Sab Goblin 570

A bit puzzled about the 70 amp esc .I thought they came with a talon 90.Trex 550e dfc :-)
