  • T-Rex 550 Torque Tube?

Hi, today I did a dodgy auto and landed on the tail, at the time it looked stripped but now that I see it once I got home I am just wondering if it is ok? Does this look alright to you?

Looks serviceable to me. I've found that nine times out of ten it's the front bevel gear that strips.

Thanks, the front ones look the same and I would rather be safe than sorry😀

Hi. Had a quick look at your photo on my phone and that gear looks OK. Have you had a look at the gears that take the drive from the main gear? The tail is permanently driven so have a look at them. It may be worth pulling out the carbon torque tube and inspecting it for any damage, particularly the attachment of the metal ends that plug into the gears at each end of the model.

I would re-assemble with it in and spin the head - if you hear / feel any clicks or ticks then replace
