I've recently bought a TT Titan X50E. I haven't flown it yet but it has very good write up's. It cost £299 from Midland Helicopters and it will run 6S if you put an Align 730MX motor in with a 15T pinion. The build was dead easy and I'm just setting it up at the moment. I'm running 12s but 6s works fine with the aforementioned motor or equivalent. It's a true 600 size heli.

Depends what you're after. The Logo 550SX flies extremely well. It's largely plastic construction makes it VERY light, which means :-

            1/. Long flight times
            2/. Doesn't kill 6S packs
3/. Doesn't need very high head speed

As for build quality - it's fine. I wouldn't say it's as refined as my Goblins, but it's certainly not low quality at all.

So, if you want a heli that flies really well, the Logo. If you want something to look pretty whilst in the house, I personally think the SAB Goblin 570 is one of the nicest looking 550's.

Have to way up your criteria and options, but here is my take on them:

                  Align Trex 550
good bang for buck heli, quality reasonable and good parts availability, cheap and does the job, crashes reasonably well.

                  Goblin 570
latest and greatest, High quality but you pay for it, good parts availability but slightly higher cost to align and also crashes well.

                  Mikado Logo 550SX
Latest design, plastic and good quality, parts readily available but higher prices like SAB, plastic frames do no crash well.

                  Synergy E5
Good helicopter, latest design with very high quality, built like a tank and will take abuse. Higher parts cost and reasonable availability, can also be upgraded to a 600 size later.

What about a new Kyle Stacey edition 570? Or a new Goblin 500 sport?

                  Dave
                  Happy Flying! Thanks - Dave

Would it be seen as pedantic to say that we're talking about 30-size helis here? IMHO a genuine 50-size on 6s is a recipie for a pack muncher.

These days I think you can do a 600 size heli on 6s and not kill packs. Either run a bit lower headspeed where the amp draw will just not be as high or use high enough C rated packs. It used to be the case in the early days of the Trex 600 but I think the quality of LiPos has gone up (and there are lighter airframes out now). If you think about it, a 5000mah pack rated at 40C is 200 amps, 60C would be 300!

I will be doing an experiment converting a Kasama Dune to 6s because I'd rather be able to share packs with the helis I fly the most which are 700s using 4000 and 5000mah packs. I plan to run it at about 1700-1800 headspeed so the power demands should be fairly low.
