  • Quadcopter for my daughter

My daughters shown an interest in flying and I wouldn't mind getting her a little quad to get her going. Don't want to spend a fortune but don't want Shopping Centre stall toys either. I've done a bit of digging and it all ponts toward a Hubsan or a Nano but I was wondering if there's something out there that could make use of all the130x lipos I've got that I can bind to one of my Spektrum Tx's.

The NanoQX is fantastic for flying indoors and garden and batteries cost next to nothing. Totally harmless in a crash too.

my only input would be safety over power requirements.
Even the hubsan without the guard can cause injury. I got one with a guard for my nephew in law who is five and unfortunately all he wanted to do was get it high as possible. Too young in his case.
                Obviously depends child to child.
I also just sold an h107d fpv hubsan that was faulty with no picture but still worked.
It was a great little thing.
1x EGS, TREX 450 PRO DFC & 130X. DX9 radio. No idea what i am doing trying to fly

I had Hubsan Q4 but my Niece wanted it so I gave it to her. It was great but I never liked the included transmitter that came with it. If I were looking for another indoor quad I'd go for the Blade Inductrix BNF and use it with my DX9. For outdoors I like my Blade 200QX. It's just big enough to handle a little bit of wind but it's not too dangerous if the child is supervised.

That's a good call for a beginner. The fully enclosed fans should make it more beginner friendly than the open nQX design. Doesn't look as agile though in the video.

I will put a vote in for the hubsan x4, I've had one a while, it's mega stable for indoors, and if you want to go fast you just switch into expert mode and will also do flips too, I'd recommend the blade cover too,
and at £30-£40 depending where you buy it is cheap.

im sure the other are good too but I've not had any of them.
