Me again well after flying the ranger at the weekend after looking at the pics the skids have just got to go (wich ive been saying since she was biult )well this past week ive actually made a start on doing them and theyve come out quite well (well i think so :lol: ) they are made out of some scrap counipher brake pipe and a length of fuel pipe blow torch and a little time at a cost so far of 0.00 to me there not finished yet but here's were i am so far

8) seeings as ive been on call this week and not been able to get out ive managed to finish the skids and they've come out well

these cost me a total of 5.00 for paint
if i get time ill mount them later and post a pic

Purple would have looked good.

PS, got mine back in the air last night!!!!!! 2 tanks of hovering at about 6 feet, trying to get some confidence back.

Glad to hear your back in the air. Not far off finishing my Shuttle so hopefully will be airborne this summer (Thats the plan anyway!!)

Pictures, erm yeah the pictures, well usauly its me taking them so I was finding it difficult to hold the camera and the tx(watch out for the new futaba with 3 megapixel camera, 48 inch plasma screen with satalite, and sat nav, 24 channels of which you only need 6 or 7 the rest are wasted..etc), and I got a friend to take them, but they were all blurry, not saying he is a bad photographer or anything!!!! ther are a couple of rebuild pictures in my gallery (black boom, I like it!!!) We set it up and trimmed it up with existing electronics so the new gyro is not in yet (this week sometime I hope.) So have not done range test, but the crash was definetly set up and was my own fault, as since it has been re set up it was a calm and user freindly as you could want. Tick tocks and stuff before you know it :lol: :lol: :lol:

Was just thinking that myself this morning.
You see so many helis with anodised/powdercoated booms but the black (standard on Raptor) looks great. Makes the CF fins look pretty good too.

Pictures of the rebuilt shuttle are now on there, would put them in my signiture and on the post and stuff if I could work out how to do it!!!!
