If it had a brushless main motor I would be up for a replacement of my old Nano but it looks like the only difference is it has SAFE modes.

Also, my guess is the BNF will hit these shores at £99.00 not $99.00

£67.50p! That has got to be a bargain. Hopefully all parts will be interchangeable with the original Nano and the board will be a little more robust than the original. The Nano was my first CP, this will be a good replacement to stuff in the van when I'm travelling (which is almost always).

I believe it has piro compensation too, which should be a good improvement. Price is okay, basically same as the old one and should get discounted as they usually do. Might get one for winter flying indoors.

Is this a whole new model or a tarted-up version of the original? Hopefully the latter as I will then have a couple of doner models to get parts from (although nothing ever broke apart from the electronics).

Yes it's an upgraded model , if you google it you'll see all details

Hi pete , mine is in the post & may arrive today , I had one a couple of years ago , it was to move on from my msrx but I didn't like it , I thought it would help me learn to flip etc in the house , it didn't work for me , I thought you learned on small (robust) heli's then move on to larger ones , I've learned on larger heli's & only now do I think I MIGHT be able to practice inverted , flips , rolls etc in the house , I'm hoping the cps in stabilisation mode will be more user friendly lol
Ill keep you informed on how I get on , regards. Kenny d

Thanks Kenny, I found much the same thing with the mCPX. Great for learning upright flight, but too much of a handful to flip in the house. I'm actually thinking of getting the nQX 3D for the house. The original nQX is still my best house flyer by a considerable margin.

                            Thanks Kenny

if things like tail boom and motor, skids, swash plate etc are all interchangeable than I can see myself getting one as well. Inverted stability mode, what's not to like? Shame you didn't like your msrx, mine is often taken for a gentle flight around the garden.

Euclid , I loved my msrx , it was the nano I hated

well my CP-S & 6 batteries arrived today , flew about 15 batteries , it can fly easy & gentle in fixed pitch but wanted to wander off the the front right , In 3D it was great , I could flip , roll & fly inverted (outside ) , I would need a bit more practice before trying it in the house , I couldn't find the recovery button & the agile mode didn't seem to work , perhaps I've not set it up it properly , so I'll keep working on it. , it has some funny quirks but overall I'm very happy with it
