Yep we all get them. Everyone wants a good deal but some will try to take your trousers down. I find BMFA is a hotpot for those kind of people. I much prefer to sell here or to people I know

I thought my offer of £250 for Nick's NX4 was pretty good, he only had to bring it to Norfolk for me to look at it. Sorry, what can I say!!

If you don't like the offer just say 'no'.. It's not such a big deal.

You're right it's not such a big deal but if I've priced something then I've priced it to sell. I think it's a bit of a cheek to offer stupid money for something when you know the price is good. I don't even argue a price, if I don't like the look of it and think it over priced I won't bother even PM'ing someone. Consequently I sort of expect the same treatment.

I will occasionally because of the way I budget ask if someone will take part payment with the rest the following month when they send the item, but that then is up to the seller if they're happy with that. If not fair enough.

See it all the time. I think traffic on here is down and with it prices are now rock bottom. Even then some feel the need to make an offer. Tbh ive had much better return through eBay even after the fees. There is a flip side some asking prices are high but each to their own. Personally I always reply and some offrs can be bumped up and generate a sale. Even on my killer deals I get low balled.

If o advertise something for sale then that's the price I want or very close. I will soon know if I've overpriced it if there is no interest ( although there are a few on here that don't understand that and bump 15 times lol)
nick has a very reasonably priced Heli considering its age and condition but is getting stupid offers. Those asking must know it too. It's a current model and in great condition, not a flybarred craptor with a naff engine so why offer that kind of money?

I guess if you don't want offers then best to say 'no offers' in the listing?

it's kinda normal process when selling second hand that you get an offer and then try to negotiate a price, it's how it works. End of the day anything second hand is only worth what someone is willing to pay.

IMHO the real 'tyre kickers' / time wasters are the ones who ask all the questions, make the offers, do a deal, then don't pay up ... They are the ones that annoy me.

It might just be bad timing for Nicks nx4,as there has been a bit of a glut of them for sale on here recently.

I think most people will accept reasonable offers and don't want to put reasonable people off from buying the item by saying 'no offers'. Lets say you bought a new motor for £200 and when you get it you realize it's not going to fit in your model so you advertise it for £150, opened but never used. I think £135 would be a reasonable offer but £75 would not.

It's not about the time. I have no problem replying to people to tell them sorry but it's already sold. I think most people don't mind spending the time to reply to people if the offer is a a bit too low. Maybe they can meet half way. But when someone low balls you it's just arrogance. Maybe they think that you're desperate for the money. Imo they're just scumbags who would take advantage. Probably fiddling benefits too.

And I'd agree with you 100%... But I'd not take the £75 offer as some sort of personal insult, I'd just say 'no thanks'.

the 'glut' are 3 of us all from the same club because we all wanted bigger machines. The prices have reflected the condition of the helis. Just cos one sells for £300 doesn't mean they're all worth the same. Mine sold for £400 which was still cheap considering the spec. Nicks is priced correctly for condition and spec. So to ask for 25% - 30% off is not a reasonable offer

I just price everything with the expectation of being offered less, (not that iv ever sold on here I dont think) that way the buyer is happy having knocked a little off the asking price and I get what I actually wanted, there also the occasional bonus that some nutter doesnt try knock you down and you end up quids in lol
