micro servo adaptor plate?

Does anyone know where I can buy a mounting plate that will enable the use of a micro (450 size) servo in a mid size (500 size) servo slot?

I have looked everywhere but maybe I'm not using the right search terms. I did find one from Tarot at RC Hero but it is backordered.

Yeah, much to my surprise that is looking fairly likely. If I have a suitable size plate of plastic or CF around here it's just a matter of some time with the dremel cutting wheel and then drill some holes. It's not a difficult thing to do just messy.

My other option is to just remove the nice ali tail servo bracket and use a boom mount but I'd rather not have to do that.

I'm pretty sure that's what I've used to fit a DS95i [same size as DS420] into a [T-Rex 450 Pro] caddy for a DS520.

Well for a bit over a fiver with postage maybe it's worth taking a chance.

... on 2nd thought, looking at the pic up close there's just no way that is made to fit a 450 size servo in a full size slot, the size difference is much greater. I'm not sure how those black plastic things work but I really don't see how that would work in this case because on the Beam the servo is hanging on two CF pieces from an ali bracket so it is not a 360 degree enclosed rectangular slot in the frame like you'd have with a Trex 600 (the package says trex600n) and the adaptor plate really needs to have both the holes for the servo and the mounting holes on the outside as well so it's totally rigid.

That's perfect, the Beam can easily fit a full size tail servo so that would totally do the biz!

The Gaui X3 has a couple of plastic triangles that can be used to mount a smaller tail servo. Unfortunately I'm not that familiar with what really classes a mini or micro servo, but I think they could work. You bolt them where the full size servo would be with two standard screws, and then use a single screw to mount the micro servo.

There are standard Gaui plastic parts available for around £2, or Lynx have a metal upgrade that for me is a more secure fit but costs a bit more:
