  • Bitter sweet weekend.

    Hi

Had a bitter sweet weekend but had a ball.

    Sweet.....

    1. Had 5 flights of the Raptor. Nose in, Piros and nice figure eights.
    2. Switched to ProPower with great effect.
    3. Had 4 great flights with the 450S. Again, nose in and some great slow Piro stuff.
    4. Have all the spares I need for the 450s. (See below)

    Bitter......

    1. On Sunday in a 1.5 acre field, I managed to introduce the 450 to one of only two trees. Came down like a sack of spuds. Yes, the pilot is a complete Numpty

Shafts, undercarriage, Flybar carrier, Flybar arms, Carbon blades, Swash guide, Rotor holders etc etc.

    2. My Tinternet stopped working all weekend.

    Happy days

Hope everyone else had a good weekend.

    Cheers

cracking weekend. Flying cut short on sat breaking my first set of crown gears on the 600npro.
Sunday a nice flight on the Hang glider by aerotow and 6 packs through the 450, finished with a rather spectacular burial unfortunately - flying with an audience always does it. Boom, main shaft, spindle and my radix 325's that have survived 18 months of flying with many crashes.

All bitter for me, had both heli's loaded up and ready to go - then my cam belt snapped!

i realised yesterday that you dont learn every time you fly, you just get one flight closer to your next crash. then you learn something!!!

glad it wasn't the rappy mark that would of been a bummer!

              Cheers Ron

I only fly the Rappy where the trees are a long way away

Real bummer though as I had just changed the setup on the 450 and it was flying really well

              Never mind.

              Cheers

Dang....those trees jump up from nowhere don't they

On the bright side it ain't gonna costs you much

I had an excellent weekend. Few subtle adjustments to the Avro on Friday pm, flying real sweet now. Park Hall fly-in on Saturday, which was real good. Went to my club field after that and really nailed inverted 8's and circuits . Last time I tried these it costs me £450

Did loads of 1/2 loops and 1/2 rolls to inverted at height, to get used to it wrong way up, but never had the courage to move it round. Saturday it just clicked Awsome

Get the parts and get it back up in the air ASAP

My Dragonus died on friday night.

Heard a loud bang whilst in FFF followed by total loss of control!

I think (not working now!) it was the align speed contoller (the old 35A ver) letting go, had just upped the pinion from 12 t to 13t. She was shifting after just coming out of high loop and went in full chaf nose first!
Damage was quite extensive including the frames, lipo bent up 30 degrees etc but the head was intact.

Good news - parts on order and it forced me to Fly my T-rex 600N pro (which scares the shite out of me normally) all weekend and did my first Loops & nose in with it

Sorry to here about the 450 mark.

Personnally had a completely sweet weekend. Especially Sunday up to park hall flyin met up with Matt(Mattydred) and Lee(Madetofade) had a great days flying saw some amazing pilots one of the of which was about as tall as his 600. amazing for such a young age dont know how old but I would guess around the 10 years old mark. managed to get all my helis back in one piece(this time) and even the Van managed to get all the way there and back without blowing up on me.
                        All the best
                        Tony.
