Apparently the boom is made to come off easily so it will fit in the average car.

I'm sure it must be totally awesome but what kills it for me is having to use 4 LiPos per flight!

Well an 880 heli isn't going to be light!. Cube scale factor says that you would expect an 880 heli to be twice as heavy as a 700. This looks right on the mark because it has twice the power (two 700 motors) and twice the battery capacity.

Yeah I think they say 9.5kg. Hmmmmm, I wonder how it would do on low headspeeds with just two LiPos. 850mm blades at 1000rpm should sound very cool.

I would be interested to know how they match the torques on two motors. They cant both be direct drive otherwise it is very likely that one motor will be doing more work then the other.

there is some special patented gearbox mechanism that adresses that very issue. There is a youtube video somewhere that has the designer explaining how the drive system works.

I have a brand new Suzi Laos Airframe that Ive never done anything with when I brought all of Ben Varleys stuff off him and I think this is another large 800 class helicopter . Ive tried various prices but no interest in these larger machines for some region.

Is that really expensive though in the overall scheme of things? My mountain bike was over £4.5K, makes this look a bargain.

Great to see someone so passionate about building something different, though without a specific purpose, I can't see who would buy this? It doesn't fit into any competition categories and although it looks more than capable, the people with enough money to own one aren't going to push it hard. Maybe a 700 size, with 600 size motors and ESCs powered by the same 700 packs or a speed machine with dual motor setup would be more appealing?
