  • Out of the game for a while

    Hi guys,

I've not really flown for the past 6/7 years so have forgotten some of the bits I did know and I'm now scratching my head a little. The problem I have is with my Raptor 50 in trying to get the mechanical pitch setup correctly. I cannot seem to get 0 deg setup correctly and then when I do think I've got it I get an unequal pitch range. What am I doing wrong as it's bugging the hell out of me.

    Cheers

Start at the bottom and work up (a rule that works in many situations!)

Take out any D/R, EXPO, Sub trim, trim, ATV in your radio
Ensure linear pitch curves in your radio
Centre the sticks and get the servo horns on as close to 90 degree's as possible
Set the servo link lengths as per the manual as a starting point
    Level the swash
    level the mixer arms
Check pitch, adjust length of links to the blade grips (just focus on one blade to start with)

Sometimes takes me a while to get it right, I find it much easier with FBL setup these days.
