So how come my MPA board has red tape? Small print says not to use if any of the red indicators turn black.

through time & use they go slightly red , the idea is if any of the wires are wrong when your charging the tape goes red to let you know something's wrong , I bet the tape on yours is nice job lol

What happen was the early MPA boards the tape was red and went brown or black if a fault

the later ones are dark brown and turn red if a fault

guess the change was due to a supply change

Who is AlignUK?? do you mean robbeUK? if so, then yes i agree then can be a bit sheepish when it comes to faults and returns.

I will be perfectly honest, i think your making a big deal out of something small. The tape is on, granted it's not to the exacting perfectly aligned one in your second photo but nethertheless it is on there.
