If he goes to PayPal, provided you described it accurately then it is subject to "caveat empter" or sold as seen. they will settle in your favour especially with all the rude emails too I had a similar situation with a member on here. They put 10s in to a 6 s esc and complained to PayPal , to bad for them they posted pics and a description on Facebook.

Keep a record of every email sent and received, this will definitely help if this guy does actually take this any further, which I doubt.

Yeah - that made me giggle too! People who threaten legal action probably have no idea of the effort, cost and stress involved. I launched a claim in the European small claims court some years back for £200. After 6 months, countless emails, a (stressful) court appearance, I won I went through all that because I was 100% bloody certain that I was in the right. But even so, the judicial system took me to task over it. If there is any hint of bullshit, the judge would make it clear what he thought of the situation.

In short, the threat of legal action is bullshit at best, and naïve in the extreme at worst!

I don't know what legal grounds he's going to take. All you've said is you won't be selling any 2nd hand stuff to him or replying to any further correspondance to him due to the abusive and agressive emails. If anyone has any standing for taking any legal action it is you against him. Let him waste some time money and frustration on it. Ignore any direct correspondance with him otherwise he'll keep abusing and only answer to paypal if required. Not replying is more frustrating for him. If he has read this thread then he must realise that being abusive is a major fail.

I'd put some tissues in a packet with no postage paid and send it to him. Let him go to the postie to collect and pay and the note inside reads. Cry much? You'll be needing these. After those abusive emails I wouldnt be able to resist causing more RAGE to that D-Bag. Though I am particularly twisted.
