    Hi Guys

Need some help, on Rc help.com It says you can set up just one satellite, I can bind two sats but I am unable to get one on its own to bind on it's own. I can remove one sat after binding the two and it works ok but the light flashes all the time.
Also has anyone used the orange sats on a 3gx?

You need to place single sat into port 2,then it will bind

Thanks for the reply Nick, already tried that, still no joy
It flashes then stops after i have turned on the TX.
      Any other ideas?

        Hey Buddy.

As above, the 3GX has a quirk in that in order to use one satellite it has to be plugged into Sat port 2 instead of the more usual port 1.

I've not tried any Orange sats on the 3GX, but they should work ok. How close is your transmitter during the binding process? Sometimes this can give problems.

As Ian mentions the tx can be too near the sats, also with the orange sats they are not so reliable with the 3gx on v3 + as if you do get it to bind chances are the sat/s will be flashing after a flight, there is a post Ian (coolice) done that explains about higher power esc or fitting separate bec.

Or you might want to consider a Spectrum sat /s which is more reliable.

I am using Spectrum sats but only had one spare, the question about orange sats was a just in case scenario, now I have the Spectrum working on its own I have no need for the orange but its good to know.
Thanks to Coolice for pointing out the distance thing,

Thank you Guys for taking the time to help out, it is really appreciated.

                Hey Buddy.

                No problem, you're very welcome.
It's caught me out a few times recently, not really had a problem binding, but started to and then twigged I was too close.

Lol, I can relate to that! Youth is wasted on the young :-)
