cyclone or zeal?

Its only taken me a week to find somewhere I can gat matching main and tail blades from, thats just me!
Do I go with the cyclone 555 and 95 tail that was recommended or the zeal 550 and 92 tail that just look cool..?
Never flown either and im not sure if my skills will highlight the difference anyway... Whats people's thoughts?

I have the Cyclone 695s and Zeal 700s and I've flown them on a TDR and Kasama Faifa, both fitted with Spartan VX1s and running low-mid headspeeds. I had been flying them both with Edge 713s. My flying style is smooth 'big air', some F3C style stuff. So my impression is they both fly well but the Cyclones were more stable in FF moves.

Obviously with a 550 your headspeeds will be much higher, about double actually, so it's hard to say if you'd have the same experience.

Cool, sounds like I probably have a similar style so the cyclones may be the ones. I do still like to be different though and iv never seen any Zeals lol be nice to hear from someone thats flown the 550s aswel.
What sort of headspeed would you expect from a 550 then? I think im at 2200 and 2350 maybe, which I thought was quite high, I wouldnt imagine your flying at 1100 though? Lol

Those headspeeds should be good on a 550 as I usually run my 600s at around 2000. With the Faifa and TDR I have been playing around with low headspeeds so I have my idle-1 at about 1300 and hovering at about 1000-1100 ish.

At higher headspeeds there may be more difference between the Zeals and Cyclones (or maybe less difference!), it's hard to say without trying them.

On my helis the Zeals had a bit of a tendency to pitch up in FF flight, moreso on the TDR. But, having said that it's possible that could be tuned out in the FBL unit which is something I didn't get into yet because I wanted to compare both blades back-to-back to see the differences between them.

2200-2300 is normal on 550mm blades. I have 2 sets of cyclones and I think they are awesome, very happy with the way they perform. Can't comment on the Zeals as I've never tried them.
