Ok so I'd just rebuilt my leap 450 quad and had gone through the setup again as it needed a re-bind. All went well and it initialised just fine and the controls checked out on the software so thought I'd take it out front for test flight.
Powered it up as usual and got the confirmation beeps and solid led on the Sat indicating all was well, to power the leap up you hit flight mode 1 and slowly increase throttle, once just above midstick the motors power up into an idle speed. All good here, then I tried to take off and nothing happened, it just sat there at idle, then I noticed I now had absolutely zero control whatsoever!
So now I found myself staring at a very powerful quadcopter that was powered up and running and had absolutely no control over it! To make matters worse i could hear the motors starting to speed up! In the end I had to very carefully nudge the rubber o rings off the release the canopy and with my fingers literally millimetres from very fast props had to disconnect the Lipo!
Scariest moment in rc ever for me!!
