FOXTECHFPV - who has placed a big order from them?
I think when ordering stuff of that value, you have to more or less assume you'll get hit with tax. If you don't it's then just a pleasant surprise and you can eat meat that month.
Errrr, I mean if you don't then contact HMRC and insist that you pay the tax that is due... of course.

Ordered a few bit and bobs but not really to that value, as Zeeflyboy says, apart from custom tax etc.. if you ordering that value is it really worth it if things did go wrong? I can tell you for a fact that support when things do go wrong is no better than HK and is very slow on reply as well. They also speak solid chinglish so I wasn’t even sure they understood my problem correctly.
I would say if you ordering that value I would pay the extra for the UK just for the support and warranty, unless its half the price, which to be honest with the low dollar value at the moment it isn’t cheap buying aboard anymore so I would not suggest you take this root on such a high value.
Don’t tell me you are getting one of the DJI inspire by the way…it’s kind of a over kill hobby toy if you haven’t got a business case for one
Haha yeah - getting an Inspire. I hate quads but I just like this one.. and yeah, you're right - it's a lot of money I agree... it was a split between a Roban Airwolf 800 or this stupid quad. The quad's winning I'm afraid.
Difference in price is nearly £500 hence I'm looking into getting it from Hongkong.

both, lets say you did have an issue they would want you to send it back tracked etc., which for an inspire size box is 70 quid at the least then the hassle of dealing with them. to be honest if its the inspire you want, i would not get it from HK no matter if its foxtech or not. nothing against them its just that it had a few issue to be vary of and if things go wrong, you have to wait a long time to get things sorted be it foxtech or any other HK shop. buy the time they read understand test reply haggle postage etc... it not worth the hassle.
plus if oit does a fly way as some are reporting it doesnt matter where you get it from, put a tracker on it, then hope you get it back and hope they actually believe you it flew away crashed etc... i see and endless battle for replacement in chinglish...
i buy lots of things from abroad but nothing expensive or to this level, things i buy are more like if things did go wrong i don't have to break my head over warranty/return as it to slow and stressful. something i can afford to bin and carry on.
