I bought loads of canopies for my T-Rex helis, and I got them for peanuts.

    I also need a tissue

Managed to bag 3 canopies which is unusual for me as by the time I normally get on the site it's all gone!

The only helis I think would really benefit are the Goblins which seem to suffer really badly from fading in sunlight. But you'd need something that covered the entire heli, boom too.

I am so used to damaging them, despite taking the best of care, so whats the point of a canopy cover for a canopy that sustains most of its damage during use is my thinking … at which point you wouldn't have the cover on anyway to protect it. Plus i doubt it would prevent splits, which is 90 per cent of the damage mine sustain

Maybe they are for shelf queens or whatever you call them. I imagine they prevent fade due to UV damage… if you leave the heli near a window when stored for long periods of time. Maybe thats the use right there. My helis are rarely sat still for 3 days so maybe thats why i don't see the point.

I dunno. My Trex 500 has been on the windowsill for at least 2 years now, and there's no noticeable difference in the paint. Only one sides been getting the sun all that time.

the way i see it, barring crashes, the most damage they get is being fitted over and over to the heli. cover wont help that.

I think the Goblin canopies are prone to fading. Perhaps it was only the early ones. But there are some references on the freak about issues regarding paint fading…. I imagine it is more in the Nevada or Florida or any other part of the US where it gets very hot and perhaps the UV exposure is more as a result. So probably not as much of an issue here to be fair.

                              ^^^

I really like that colour scheme (Wolfie). The problem is, it only looks good on the Goblins. If you look at the other canopies you can get it on as stock (Protos, VooDoo) it looks nowhere near as nice.

My canopy stash turned up yesterday. 2x 7HV (peaches and alpine, I couldn't decide so I bought both), 1x Agile 5.5 (Tropic thunder) and a Peaches one for my little Gaui X3.
