Ok so I'm with you so far ESP takes the motor and the Reciver that connects to the 4 servos and ESP goes back to the Lipo , great .

not sure how they are classing 7.4v as High Voltage by the way ! .. If I run a 2S batt to the FBL this means this just runs the electronics and won't need charging until needed , can I recieve a Voltage read out etc for this on my DX8 so you know?

This is leaves me with the 12S config to plug in to the ... ESP and to the motor then ? .. Am I cold again ! :-( ?

yep the 12s goes into the esc and the motor goes into the esc also.

7.4v is hv for servos. but like i said i run 8v. (a fully charged 2s battery will be 8.4V)

you would only need to charge the 2s lipo when needed, but bear in mind as the voltage drops so will the speeds of the servos etc.

Sounds like you have it just about figured out now. It makes a lot more sense when you have the components layed out in front of you

You will need to do a bit of soldering. Not everything comes with the correct connectors pre-soldered. If using a 2s Lipo to power the FBL unit and servos, then you will need to make up a harness to connect between the two. You also usually have to solder on the connector on the ESC input wires that connects to your main battery. So if you dont have one already add a nice powerful soldering iron to the tools list, or sweet talk someone into soldering it up for you!

i have a unused Soldering Iron here I bought a year ago thinking of need it one day , now I can tell the Mrs she was wrong and it's up for use shortly ;-) ..
when you say Harness Ste ? .. Also will there be some basic diagram of connections on The ESC before I start soldering whips to it !?

In the 600l combo I dont get any Sats so I might order 2 now so there there there inexpensive so I may as well learn as much as I can Pre Build.

Ps. Do we have Build threads on here people have done I may do one in the Newb bit as I go on just to document if anything ..

The harness I was talking about is a wiring harness, basically it's two leads with servo type plug at one end of each lead (to connect to the FBL unit) and with a single battery connector to fit your 2s Lipo (Deans, XT60 etc) at the opposite end. You use two leads because the power from the battery wants to be split between two paths as each lead and plug is only good for about 5 amps, and you need more than that on a 600 size heli.

I've not seen a lot of build theads on here but I'm sure if you started one it would be well received.

Ok so the FBL connectors and Batt connections , deans etc. I can just pick up from any good heli store I might start putting together my Elec box now tools etc , so get all the Tools needed , I have all the term drivers here soldering iron , I'll get some Thred lock and connectors/wire ordered do you recomend a multi meter etc for V testing? ps. You would think the 600l combo has a option with Lipos and charger with the Combo too .

If you want to do some pre-reading for your 600L build there is the manual for the previous 600e Pro version here: http://www.align.com.tw/ManuaLib/Hel...r/RH60E09X.pdf.

It's exactly the same heli other than the servos, canopy colour and some red anodising, so pretty much everything in the manual will apply to your 600L build. There is a wiring diagram on page 19 that should be of interest.

By bail out mode I am assuming you mean a self-levelling function to (hopefully) save the heli in the event of human brain overload.

The ones I know of are:
Robbe helicommand, which later morphed into Bavarian Demon
Skookum SK720
MSH Brain
Spirit (I'm pretty sure the Spirit has a 'captain rescue' function)

There may be others, those are just the ones that come to mind.
