The first align esc on my 500 must have lasted more than 4 or even 5 years..and conservatively survived at least 50 dirt naps. I wa shaving issues with the poor heli a few months ago..turned out to be mostly bearings gone in the motor but the new motor flew way better with a new align esc as well. For some 4 or 5 flights before one of the power caps broke off. OK it'd had one rough landing so I put it down to that .. and bought a replacement. This one has had a few months of light use and I've been careful so no crashes or even rough handling. Yesterday I charged up two packs..flew the first wihout issue, landed changed packs and heli wouldn't lift off... investigated and both power caps are missing. There has been no sign of significant vibration on the heli and the escs have all been mounted the same under the front batt tray. Again snapped wires at the solder points.
Ive always thought that hanging these caps off the front of the board is daft without soem support..but that first on went s long comapred to these last two it makes me wonder if they've changed the wire type? I'm not gng to shell out another £65 squid for one of these..it'll have to be a cheapo HK one next....
